This is the horrifying moment a woman has her feet crushed by a steamroller and is left lying there while motorbikes and cars drive by and do nothing to help.

The horrific accident happened in Grolleroiania, Goias state Brazil, on 23rd May as the woman was seemingly lying on the pavement under a flyover.

Street security camera footage shows the giant road roller as it moved towards the woman without apparently seeing her.

In sickening slow motion, the huge vehicle inched forwards right over her feet and passed on without seeming to notice her.

A group of bikers stopped to look at her injuries but moved off within seconds, and other vehicles coming up behind also appeared to slow down but again they did nothing to help even though she was in plain view at the side of the road.

The victim, who has not been named, was eventually taken to the Governador Otavio Lage Emergency Hospital where her condition is stable, local media reports.

Goiania City Hall, which operated the road roller, said it regrets what happened and has opened an investigation into the crushing.

It was not revealed by the police if they are looking into those who seemed to have ignored the woman’s predicament and had not given her first aid or called for help.

It is also unclear what she was doing, apparently unconscious at the side of the road, and whether she had suffered a medical emergency or possibly passed out for another reason like drinking too much.
