This is the touching moment a kind Malaysian soldier gives a disabled woman in a wheelchair a face mask and gloves and helps her to put them on during the COVID-19 lockdown.

The disabled woman named Noraini was spotted by soldier Khairul Zulkefli outside a supermarket near Batu Caves in the district of Gombak located in the western Malaysian state of Selangor.

He said she was trying to buy shopping, but did not have the mask and gloves that she needed to go into the supermarket and he and his colleague noticed that no one was helping her.

Khairul Zulkefli then shared the video on Facebook of his colleague who was not named going over to offer assistance, where it has been viewed 340,000 times.

He wrote: “This woman is a person with disabilities and she wanted to go to the NSK (supermarket) but did not have a mask so we gave her a mask and gloves.”

He added that she was able to afford to do the shopping after receiving her disability allowance but did not have the protective equipment.

In the clip, the Malaysian soldier is seen carefully placing a mask over the woman’s face before helping her put gloves on.

In the second video, the woman tells the soldier that she is heading home. When he asked her who was there with her, she replied “there are cats” and added that she lives alone and has no children or family members.

Twitter user ‘MalayFoodHunter’ said: “Just imagine if that was your mother, your own flesh and blood.”

‘Noor Azah Aziz’ commented: “Does anyone have her address?”

The netizen later acquired the address and shared it with others willing to lend the disabled woman a hand.
