Siberian Woman Calls Herself An Ambulance After Falling From 8th Floor

A woman in Siberia who fell eight floors from a block of flats – as can be seen in this footage – survived the fall and even managed to call herself an ambulance.

The footage shows her being caught by an electricity or telephone cable while on her way down, and this appears to have broken her fall somewhat, as did the thick layer of snow covering the ground.

The woman, who has not been named, then reportedly called for an ambulance for herself, despite catching the back of her head on a fence as she landed and sustaining a head injury.

The incident took place in the Russian city of Yakutsk in the Sakha Republic, which is located in the Russian Far East, on the morning of Friday, 4th February.

The footage shows the woman falling from the building, hitting the cable on her way down. This causes her to flip mid-air, before she catches the back of her head on a metal fence as she lands in a thick layer of snow covering the ground.

She can be seen lying motionless for a few seconds before she moves her arm, indicating that she still alive.

The woman, who is reportedly 30 years old, injured her pelvis in the fall, but she survived the ordeal and even managed to call herself an ambulance to take her to hospital.

It is currently unclear how she fell from the building. Incredulous doctors at the local hospital immediately put her in intensive care, but she has reportedly already been transferred to a regular ward.
