SHALLOW GRAVE: Killer Buried Partner Under Home With Two Kids Inside

A man killed his partner and buried her under the family property while her young kids were at home, say police in Brazil.

Footage shows the moment victim Jessica Rayara, 22, was unearthed from the shallow grave in Ituporanga on 7th February.

She had last been seen two days earlier – the day police believe she was killed.

Civil Police found her partner hiding in his brother’s home nearby later that day and arrested him on suspicion of murder.

At the time of reporting, his identity was withheld.

Officers said he gave them a contradictory version of events, without providing further details.

Civil Police chief Fernando Padilha Figueiredo revealed that his officers had been searching for Jessica’s body for 30 hours before they finally located it.

Chillingly, her two children, aged two and five, had been seen alone in the home – mere feet above their mum’s dead body – the day before the grim find was made.

They have since been taken to a children’s refuge.

The motive for the alleged killing remains unclear, but preliminary information suggests the couple’s relationship was turbulent.

Local media did not reveal how the alleged killing was committed.

Jessica hailed from Ipubi, in Brazil’s impoverished hinterland.

It is not clear if the suspect is the children’s biological dad.
