A so-called ‘American village’ run on strict Biblical rules is to be built in Russia for US conservatives who would want to escape liberalism in their homeland.

Officials say Christians in the West are being driven out by a breakdown of traditional values and codes.

And they say a rise in trans and other sexual identity issues means they want to return to the moral codes of the Bible.

Construction of the town is set to begin next year in the Serpukhov district, south of the capital Moscow.

Residents would live under a strict regime going back to the teachings of the Bible, according to local media.

The settlement was announced by Timur Beslangurov, a partner of VISTA Immigration law firm at the 11th St. Petersburg International Legal Forum on 11th May.

The ‘American village’, is due to house around 200 families, who will finance the building of the community.

Beslangurov specialises in helping foreign investors obtain residency and citizenship in Russia.

He claims there are tens of thousands of people from Canada, USA, Australia, and Germany who want to move to Russia.

He explained: “Basically, they are Orthodox Christians. Americans and Canadians who, for ideological reasons, want to move to Russia.

“The project is financed entirely by the foreigners themselves.

“There is no state or local funding, but the approval and support of the government of the Moscow region is required.”

Beslangurov went on to claim that there are also hundreds of thousands of Russian Germans who want to escape the “radical left-liberal values in the West”.

He said: “Today they have 70 sexes, tomorrow it is not clear what will happen.

“Many normal people who are also there do not understand this, and they want to emigrate.

“And many choose Russia, but here they face a huge number of bureaucratic problems related to the imperfection of Russian migration legislation.”

Russian State Duma member Andrey Gurulev spoke about the need to offer conservative Americans a place to live claiming there will be an “inevitable split” in the US while on a Russian TV talk show.

He claimed there are many “sane people” living in the country, with “good family values”.

Gurulev said: “Let’s offer them to move to Russia,” as he went on to state they were more likely to go there because they are “closer in terms of mentality”.

He suggested Russia should build special factories for them.

He said: “Let them work, and at the same time they will learn the Russian language.”

Gurulev went on to claim they need to create conditions so that conservative US families who “want to live under Biblical laws” can “escape the crazy people”.

According to Beslangurov, an especially driving force behind foreigners’ alleged desire to move to Russia is religion.

Beslangurov claimed: “There is such a category in America – traditional Catholics.”

He added: “This is not a sect, these are white Americans with many children who strongly believe in Fatima’s prophecy, according to which Russia will remain the only Christian country in the world.

“They follow very closely what is happening in Russia.

“In America, they are recognised as domestic terrorists, and therefore potentially hundreds of thousands of such Catholics would be ready to move to Russia.”

An FBI memo, which recently became public, categorised individuals identified as “radical-traditionalist Catholic” believers as potential “racially or ethnically motivated violent extremists.”

Following this, 19 Republican state attorneys general called on the federal government to cease its “anti-Catholic bigotry.”

In response to the public outcry, the FBI distanced itself from the contents of the document.
