Russian Soldier Taken Out By Attack Drone After Failed Attempt At Defending Himself With Shovel

These images show a Russian soldier’s failed attempt to defend himself with a shovel against the deadly strike of a Ukrainian kamikaze drone after he was discovered hiding in a trench.

The footage shows the Ukrainian attack drone honing in on the Russian soldier in the trench.

Desperate to save himself, he attempted throwing a shovel at the flying UAV to knock it down but was unsuccessful.

Moments later, he was taken out in an explosion.

The images were obtained by Newsflash from the Ground forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Friday, 12th January, along with a statement saying: “Ukrainian drone vs Sapper shovel: 1-0.”

Russia invaded Ukraine on 24th February 2022 in what the Kremlin is still calling a “special military operation.” Today marks the 688th day of the full-scale war.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February 2022 and 12th January 2024.
