These images show Ukrainian forces taking out a Russian BMD-4 combat vehicle with a British-made Javelin missile.

Aerial footage appears to show the Russian war machine being hit by the Ukrainian ordnance, with it then bursting into flames.

Then, several Russian soldiers can be seen crawling out of the battered BMD-4, while a Ukrainian drone drops bombs on them before the footage runs out.

The images were obtained by Newsflash from the Operational Command “West” on Thursday, 11th January, along with a statement saying: “TRAP! And the destruction of the enemy BMD-4 with Javelin!

“The occupiers fell into a trap, and our military destroyed the BMD-4 with Javelin, then eliminated the entire enemy personnel.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that between 24th February 2022 and 12th January 2024. Russia had lost approximately 368,460 personnel, 6,060 tanks, 11,254 armoured combat vehicles, 8,710 artillery units, 957 multiple launch rocket systems. 642 air defence systems, 329 warplanes, 324 helicopters, 6,836 drones, 1,806 cruise missiles, 23 warships, 1 submarine, 11,612 motor vehicles and fuel tankers, and 1,339 units of special equipment.

The US imposed sanctions targeting Russian entities and one individual aiding the transfer of North Korea’s ballistic missiles for potential use against Ukraine.
