Russia Says Ka-52M Helicopter Crews Hit Ukrainian Position

These images purport to show Russian Ka-52 ‘Alligator’ attack helicopters firing S-8 unguided missiles at a Ukrainian fortified position.

The footage shows three Russian attack helicopters preparing for takeoff before taking to the skies.

The video then shows the helicopters flying low over countryside before one unleashes S-8 unguided missiles at unseen targets.

The footage then shows at least one of the helicopters coming in to land back at base as the footage ends.

The images were obtained from the Russian Ministry of Defence on Wednesday 7th February, along with a statement claiming: “Army aviation crews on Ka-52M helicopters, as part of a strike group, attacked with unguided aircraft missiles on enemy strongholds and manpower in the Lugansk direction.

“During the combat mission to support the ground forces, army aviation pilots launched missiles at the coordinates of the aircraft gunner and destroyed the control center and armored vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.”

We have not been able to independently verify the claims or the footage.
