Russia Says Its Su-25 Fighter Jets Hit Ukrainian Targets In Donetsk

Russia has said that its Su-25 fighter jets have fired S-13 rockets at Ukrainian positions in Donetsk, as these images purport to show.

The footage shows a Russian fighter jet being loaded with ordnance and two Su-25 fighter jets taking to the skies before they can be seen flying low over countryside and opening fire on unseen targets.

The video then appears to show one fighter jet returning to base as the footage ends.

The images were obtained from the Russian Ministry of Defence. On Thursday, 29th February, along with a statement claiming: “The Russian Aerospace Forces Su-25 ground-attack aircraft wiped out AFU strongholds, manpower and hardware clusters in Donetsk direction.

“Strikes were delivered by S-13 rockets while pitching at an extremely low altitude of 25 metres.

“As an air controller reported, all the assigned targets were successfully wiped out. The flight proceeded normally without any incidents.

“After the mission, the crews manoeuvred to evade possible backfire, released flare decoys, and returned to their home airfield.”
