This footage purports to show a Russian Uragan multiple launch rocket system attacking positions in Ukraine.
The footage shows Russian soldiers making calculations and preparing to fire before launching rockets at unseen targets.
Then the footage cuts to explosions on the battlefield, allegedly the Ukrainian military positions.
The images were obtained from the Russian Ministry of Defence on Friday, 29th March, along with a statement claiming: “Crews of the Uragan multiple launch rocket systems of the artillery brigade of the 5th combined arms army of the Vostok group of forces from the Primorsky Territory launch missile attacks on strongholds of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, destroying manpower, armored vehicles and ammunition depots in the South Donetsk direction of the special military operation.
“It takes several minutes for the crews of the Uragan MLRS to prepare and clarify the coordinates, and they immediately open fire on identified targets located at a distance of up to 40 kilometers. Aerial reconnaissance records an accurate hit on one of the strongholds of Ukrainian nationalists.
“The installation returns to the shelter, where it reloads, and again moves to a new position to provide fire support to assault groups on the front line.
“Rocket artillery plays a vital role at the front – it prevents the enemy from rotating in positions, and destroys hangars with equipment and ammunition. Each crew of the Uragan MLRS has hit dozens of targets, including Western-made military equipment.”
We have not been able to independently verify the claims or the footage.
