ROAD RAGE RAM: Killer Driver Mows Down Teen After Nightclub Row

An 18-year-old girl was sent flying 70 feet through the air when a driver trying to mow down another pedestrian hit and killed her instead.

Horrific CCTV footage of the crash shows victim Elizabeth Nayara Pedroso catapulted into the air as the speeding car slams into her as she crosses the road.

In the video – recorded in Mairipora, Brazil, on 21st January – a man in a pink shirt is seen running for his life as a car hurtles down a hill towards him.

But as the man – a friend of Elizabeth’s – hops onto the pavement, she tries to dash across the road, only to be hit by the car at full speed.

She is seen flying up in the air and cartwheels forward so far she lands out of shot of the camera.

Horrified witnesses hold their heads in their hands as they look at the carnage caused by the attack, said to have started after a row outside a nightclub.

Police later seized 23-year-old Caique Mauricio da Silva, who had crashed his car into a wall.

He has been charged with murder, drink-driving, and driving without a licence.

His preventive detention has been requested, but a decision was still pending at the time of reporting.

Local media said the victim was living in Guarulhos but had gone to Mairipora to spend a few days at her aunt’s house.

Four others – among them Da Silva’s brother, who was in the car at the time – were reportedly taken to hospital.
