Rescuers Save Stray Dog Trapped Under Pavement Slabs

This is the moment rescuers save a stray dog from under concrete pavement slabs after the poor pooch ended up trapped while looking for somewhere warm to stay.

The operation was filmed by emergency service workers the city of Perm in Russia’s west-central Perm Krai region and later posted on their official website.

The clip shows the dog with its head sticking out of the gap between two concrete slabs on a city pavement.

It can be seen barking as the rescuers use a hydraulic tool trying to prise open the slabs and free the poor pooch.

Eventually, workers managed to separate the uneven slabs to allow the canine to free itself.

According to local media, the stray dog was trying to find a warm place to shelter from the snow amid minus 10 degrees Celsius conditions.

It somehow managed to squeeze between two uneven pavement slabs, however it was unable to get out when it later became hungry.

The trapped dog started barking and caught the attention of several passersby who then called the local authorities.

The video of the rescue operation melted hearts of netizens.

Social media user ‘Reilmur’ commented: “I bow down to the rescuers. Thank you for your humanity and kindness.”
