Quick Thinking Gran Catches Baby After He Wriggles Headfirst Out Of Nannys Arms

This is the moment a quick-thinking gran catches her baby grandson as he falls headfirst out of the nanny’s arms.

The incident was filmed at the family home in the city of Changchun in the Chinese province of Jilin, bordering with North Korea, on 5th November.

According to the news site Baidu, the baby fell from the nanny’s arms and was saved by his quick-thinking grandmother.

The baby’s father Mr Li said he hired the carer at a cost of CNY 6,000 (GBP 695) a month “because the child’s grandmother is in poor health”, adding: “This happened when I went out for half an hour.”

He said: “Fortunately, the baby was fine and only cried a bit.”

In the footage, the nanny is seen holding the baby as he wriggles out of her arms and falls head-first towards the floor.

The gran rushes forwards and helps to catch the tot, who starts to cry straight away.

In fairness to the nanny, she apparently helped to catch the baby by dropping to one knee and stopping the boy’s fall with her other leg.

The baby also appears to knock his head on a chair as the two women stop his fall.
