The Russian millionaire mum accused of trying to thrust her six-year-old ice skater son into the limelight has hired extra security after receiving a wave of death threats amid the family’s new reality TV series.

Self-made businesswoman Yana Rudkovskaya, 44, made the headlines last year when she revealed she beats her son and locks him in a closet in an attempt to make him ‘the best skater on the planet’.

Little Alexander Plushenko, who is also the son of former Russian Olympic figure skater Evgeni Plushenko, 37, has been thrust into the limelight by his famous parents since birth, according to local media.

The boy, who has appeared in over 20 ice skating shows and has his own Instagram account with nearly 350,000 followers, is reportedly receiving abuse online.

In response, Rudkovskaya, who boasts 2.4 million Instagram followers, has said that the family has hired extra security.

The celebrity couple has recently been appearing in the reality show ‘YanaSuper’ with their son and the series has reportedly led to a wave of threats against the family.

In one episode, Rudkovskaya said: “Despite having three giant dogs which protect our house, as well as the security cameras installed throughout the property, we have decided to strengthen our home and personal security.”

Rudkovskaya recently said that one woman in particular has been making sick predictions about her son’s death.

One message said: “Your son will die on 29th December, just wait for it. God is preparing his death. He will suffocate and choke right in your arms…”

The concerned parents reported the alleged threats to the police before deciding to increase their private security.

In October, Rudkovskaya flew her son to Paris to take part in a Balmain kids photo shoot, as seen in the video footage.

The incident led to accusations that she is using the child for fame.

The excited mother wrote on social media: “In Paris for the photo shoot. So proud! Thank you to the best agency in France ‘Success Kids’ for picking us.”

Success Kids is an agency that made stars of Lily-Rose Depp and actress and model Thylane Blondeau.

Netizen ‘Kulinich3522’ said: “The boy looks very detached from what is happening around him, he also looks exhausted. It seems as if he was doing his parents a favour while having zero interest in what was happening. He will never become a real star.”

‘Ekatersherb1234’ added: “This boy looks pretty exhausted. I think he needs to get some rest.”
