Cops have arrested this female influencer for child pornography after she watched saved and commented on a video of a child being raped at a party and described the victim as a “whore” to her millions of subscribers.
Cops arrested Yoseline Hoffman, who has 8.74 million subscribers on YouTube and millions more followers across other social networks, in Mexico City on the night of Tuesday, 29th June.
Her arrest was ordered following a legal complaint filed by lawyers representing Ainara Suarez, who accused the 30-year-old influencer and five other suspects named as Nicolas B, Carlos R, Julian G, Axel A and Patricio A of rape and child pornography.
The complainant’s legal team released a statement in March accusing four of the suspects of raping her when she was drunk and filming it at a party at Axel’s residence on 25th May 2018.
Part of the statement reads: “A famous self-declared ‘feminist’ YouTuber called her a whore and confessed on social networks to the crime of child pornography by declaring that she had received, played and kept said video.”
The lawyers accuse Nicolas, Carlos, Julian and Axel of raping Ainara, who was then 16, and all six suspects of child pornography. The age of consent in Mexico is 17.
The statement describes how Ainara was in an evident state of drunkenness when the four suspects, who were then teenagers, stuck a champagne bottle in her vagina and filmed it.
The suspects then shared the video on social media, resulting in it going viral, thereby taking a toll on the victim’s mental health, for which she had to attend therapy for a year and a half.
Patricio and Yoseline became involved after receiving the video, with the latter discussing the incident in a video she titled “Pathetic Generation”, which has been viewed millions of times.
Following her arrest, Yoseline was taken to a local women’s prison. It is unclear if she remains in preventive custody or if she has since been released on bail.
