The oddball bodybuilder who developed huge Popeye-like arms by injecting them with synthol oil may face amputation after he fell ill during a video shoot.
Kirill Tereshin, 22, dubbed ‘Popeye’ due to his beach ball-like biceps hanging off his otherwise skinny frame, is reportedly suffering from serious health problems caused by the synthol jabs.
According to Russian media, Tereshin fell ill while he was taking part in the music video shoot for ‘Bazooki’ by Russian singer Sultan Uragan.

Tereshin suddenly experienced a high fever and breathing problems and was rushed to hospital by ambulance.
Sultan Uragan said: “I am very disappointed. I did not see it coming. I want to emphasise that people who experiment on their physical appearance need to stop.”
According to local media, Tereshin’s health problems have been going on for several months.

The synthol injections reportedly caused tissue fibrosis followed by necrosis, and Tereshin has reportedly been warned by doctors that he may end up with his arms being amputated.
In March this year, Tereshin thought he was dying and posted a video where he said: “I got up this morning and started to have problems again.”
He can be seen barely breathing as blood drips from his nose into his bathroom sink.
He continues: “That is it, my system continues to absorb the strike (from synthol).
“I pray to God that He will take my soul, I cannot stand this pain.”
He wrote on his social media: “That is it, forget about me. I was lying in bed for two days. I was barely able to stand up after I started ‘working’ my shoulders.
“My arms swelled up and it was a serious blow to my system. I am in pain, my mother is crying. I do not know what to do. I will lie on my bed and pray to God.”

In December last year, he also revealed that his muscles are turning a worrying shade of red.
However, it is not all bad news for Tereshin who recently announced that he is getting married to Victoria Yakynina.

He shared a photo with his 500,000 Instagram followers where he posed alongside the blogger with the message: “This is me with my bride-to-be.”
Meanwhile, Yakynina posted three snaps of her trying on a wedding dress for her 195,000 followers.
The stunning brunette did not comment further on the topic, preferring to keep quiet on her engagement to 22-year-old Tereshin.
