This is the moment Mexican pop star Paulina Rubio is accused of snorting drugs after she lowered her head for several seconds during a live stream for the ‘Together At Home’ concert.

The 48-year-old singer, considered a rival of the ‘Queen of Latin Pop’ Thalia, filmed a concert as part of the online ‘Together At Home’ initiative made famous by artists such as Coldplay’s Chris Martin and American singer John Legend.

The ‘Together At Home’ campaign is promoted by the charity organisation Global Citizen in partnership with the World Health Organization (WHO).

The clip shows Rubio with messy hair and runny makeup as she talks to the camera during a break from performing some of her hits.

At one point during the broadcast, the singer appears to lower her head towards a table for several seconds before continuing with her talk.

Local media and netizens claimed that the singer appeared to forget her own lyrics during the performance and had repeatedly confused her words and touched her nose.

Following an online backlash, Rubio told local media: “My grandmother always said that people will talk no matter what. It is better they speak about you than ignore you.”

She added: “The thing is, they often wait for a reaction but I try not to give my energy to negative things.”
