This is the moment a large section of the ceiling in a Ukrainian police station suddenly collapses on four cops injuring two of them.

Local media said that two officers have been hospitalised following the incident at the main police station of Odessa, a port city on the Black Sea in southern Ukraine.

In the video footage, two officers are seen walking up the stairs as two others descend.

Just as the two colleagues ascending the stairs reach the halfway point, a large section of the ceiling tumbles on top of them.

Meanwhile, the two other officers at the top and bottom of the stairs appear to be relatively unaffected.

Reports said those officers did not require medical attention, but the two cops in the middle of the stairwell both needed hospital treatment.

One of them was diagnosed with brain concussion, multiple cuts and bruises, as well as closed fractures in both legs.

Local media did not specify the other officer’s injuries.

Both men reportedly work as detectives.

The last time the police station underwent renovations was around 15 years ago, according to local media.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Netizen ‘Maxnik’ said: “I think this is some sort of divine punishment for things they have done in the past.”

‘Did Pikhto 96b91ea4’ commented: “Such a symbolic event. Maybe this will finally make them less corrupt and incompetent?”
