Planes And Drones Fly Non-Stop In Rescue Missions

Turkish airports have been working round the clock to maintain emergency supplies and personnel into the disaster-hit regions and evacuate the injured.

The creation of the air corridor is vital as the flow of emergency equipment and personnel has been delayed because of the damage to roads and other logistical issues.

In one video (Clipzilla-TAFAircraft-01.mp4) the “Air Aid Corridor” it shows the editorial created by the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF), which was working overnight.

While search and rescue teams and aid materials were carried into the disaster-hit regions by 37 aircraft, including A400M transport aircraft, injured citizens were evacuated.

Search and rescue efforts continue after the earthquake, the epicentre of which is the Pazarcık district of Kahramanmaraş and affecting 10 provinces in total.

In a statement obtained from the Disaster Emergency Crisis Desk established within the Ministry of National Defense, they confirmed that an “Air Aid Corridor” was created to transport search and rescue teams to the region.

They aded: “Activities continued throughout the night, while search and rescue teams and their equipment and aid materials were transported to the earthquake area throughout the day. In this context, 154 sortie support flights were made with 37 aircraft, including A400M transport aircraft. Within the scope of the works, the injured taken from the earthquake area were also transported by planes. On the other hand, 2 Akıncı TİHAs, which were assigned to coordinate the works in disaster areas, continued their flights.”

In a second video (Clipzilla-TAFAircraft-02.mp4), aircraft belonging to the Turkish Air Force can be seen continuing to deliver emergency supplies to satisfy the needs of the earthquake region and the shipment of injured citizens from the earthquake region without interruption.
