Penis-Shaped Mascot Shelved By Snowflake Officials

This penis-shaped sex shop mascot has been taken off the streets of a Mexican town as local authorities considered it to be “an affront to public decency”.

The controversial mascot for a sex shop was taken off the streets of Tehuacan in the state of Puebla in central Mexico by the municipality of the town.

The Ecology and Environment Office of Tehuacan wrote on Facebook: “The management of the Ecology and Environment Office has taken a mascot seemingly shaped like a penis off the streets”

The also added: “It is important to clarify that this was demanded by citizens as it was considered visual pollution and an attack on good taste”

The mascot reportedly belongs to the sex shop ‘Exxotica’ and has also been used before in HIV-prevention campaigns to raise awareness about the STD.

In the pictures, a child can be seen holding hands with the mascot and reports state many passersby stopped to have their pictures taken with it.

Netizens slammed the decision to remove the mascot, with netizen ‘Mardidol Cruz Rivera’ writing: “They never talk about sexuality with their children that is why so many girls get pregnant, because of the lack of communication at home, people with double standards.”

Facebook user ‘Aldo Mon Mo’ wrote: “There are holes in my street with the shape of a vagina and an anus, can you come and cover them.”

‘Oliverio Valencia Cuesta’ said: “Very bad decision. We still have many prejudices to eradicate.”
