Then in another tweet ‘he’ writes: “Glad to meet with the specialists of our legendary space team. Now I’m in a bag. I am waiting for instructions on further checks based on the results of the flight.”

The life-sized Skybot F-850 robot who has his own Twitter account to communicate with his fans was launched into orbit on 22nd August after a failed launch several days before.

His account currently has just over 13 K followers and describes himself as “Anthropomorphic robot, call sign Skybot F-850, assistant crew of the International Space Station”.

The robot eventually blasted off from a Russian spaceport in southern Kazakhstan and Fedor assisted astronauts on board the International Space Station (ISS) until 7th September.

Fedor was propelled into the cosmos by a Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle as part of the ongoing Soyuz MS-14 spaceflight.

Soyuz crafts are normally manned, but this time no one accompanied Fedor in order to test a new emergency rescue system, according to reports.

Another clip shows a series of highlights during Fedor’s journey into space, time on the ISS and subsequent return.

The humanoid robot’s duties were reportedly supervised by astronauts Alexei Ovchinin and Alexander Skvortsov.

Netizen ‘Ivan Russky’ commented: “Such a shame… a puppet theatre!”

‘Sergei Schmidt’ said: “I can’t wait for Fedor to be sent to the moon!”

‘Timur Kalmadinov’ wrote: “No one mentions that the robot is useless for what is needed and cannot do anything with an operator’s help.”
