Online users were appalled after a recent video of a bar in southern China revealed a questionable double-mirror design in its bathrooms.

The double mirror has apparently been placed on the wall between the men’s urinals and the woman’s wash area.

It allows male users of the loo to clearly look at the women standing by the sinks in the ladies’ restroom.

The bar, reportedly located in the city of Guilin, has come under some online criticism after a video showing its ‘unique’ bathroom experience emerged on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.

In the video, a number of women can be seen from inside the men’s room, sorting their clothes in front of the mirror, seemingly unaware they are visible to the male audience at the urinals.

Local media reportedly contacted the Guilin Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau for a comment, and staff claimed they had not received reports on the matter.

The Bureau reportedly stated that members would look into the situation and properly deal with it.

Netizens called out the bar for having a “disgusting design” while asking for its exact name and location, presumably so some can avoid going there.

User ‘Xianyun Yehe’ said: “Women who go to bars now have to protect themselves.”
