OVER MY DAD BODY: Father Hurls Himself In Front Of Car Speeding Towards His Kids

A fast-acting father threw himself into the path of a reversing car when it headed straight towards his children as they played on a swing.

A CCTV camera caught the smash as it unfolded in Surgut, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug, Russia, on 11th November.

The footage shows how a father watches as his two children play on a swing in a snow-covered playground.

But a car moving in reverse on the adjacent road suddenly accelerates onto the playground and turns into the path of the children.

Upon noticing, the horrified father runs into its path and is crushed between the car and the frame of the swing. The car also hits one of his children.

Another man runs over to help and a woman gets out of the vehicle while the father can be seen dropping to the ground in pain.

Local officials said the father took the brunt of the collision and ended up in hospital, while his children were unharmed. Local media did not reveal his injuries.

Police said the smash happened after the 37-year-old woman behind the wheel of the Mercedes lost control. No one was named in reports.
