She was found lifeless on her garage floor with numerous stab wounds to the lower and upper body, arms and neck. Her car door was open, suggesting she was about to leave home for work.

Police officer Vinicius Araujo told local media on the day of the crime: “We had information from a close friend of the victim that she intended to file a police report today, as she felt threatened.”

Police believe Djalmo is the perpetrator. He is alleged to have made death threats to Flavia the night before the crime, when he found her in her car with a friend.

The suspect was also captured on CCTV running to his car and fleeing the scene on the day of the crime. He is still missing and being searched for by police, who want to try him on charges of femicide. He had also sent messages to his friends on WhatsApp, alleging that he was going to kill himself.

Flavia will be buried in the municipality of Campestre, in the same state.
