This is the moment a woman waiting to be seen in a hospital is attacked by a runaway calf after it burst into the medical facility after having escaped from its owners.
The incident took place at the San Joaquin Hospital in Narino, which is a town in the Colombian department of Antioquia.
As can be seen in this footage, the woman runs into the waiting area of the local medical facilities with the runaway hot on her heels. It appears to hit her in the back, sending her flying into some chairs while another woman jumps up and leaps out of the bovine’s way.
Other people can be seen fleeing the calf, with one man hastily shutting a door to create a barrier between him and the animal, while a person behind the receptionist’s desk stares on at the scene in shock.
The calf looks around for a few seconds before leaving the building the same way it came in. CCTV footage from the outside of the building then shows the calf trotting off and turning a corner, disappearing out of sight.
The footage then reportedly shows the same calf, this time accompanied by a bovine colleague, leaving the hospital premises while riders on horseback chase after them in an apparent attempt to corral them and regain control of the situation.
They can also be seen trailing a Christmas tree behind them, which they appear to have snagged on their way out.
It is currently unclear if the horse riders were able to catch the escaped calves. There is also no information regarding any potential injuries suffered by those involved in the situation, who were not named in local media reports.
