This is the moment a man approaches a row of goods in an electrical store with a hammer in his hand and calmly walks the length of the aisle whacking around a dozen top-of-the-range TVs.

The incident was filmed by the store’s CCTV camera in the city of Tomsk in the south-central Russian region of Tomsk Oblast, and the footage was later shared on social media where it has been widely circulated.

In the footage, a man who gave no motive or warning of the attack is seen approaching a row of TVs in the electrical store with a hammer in his hand.

He then calmly walks the length of the aisle smashing the screens with the hammer, eventually destroying around a dozen.

Some TVs are seen tumbling backwards and knocking down others on display behind them before crashing on the floor.

According to the local police, they received a call at around 9pm on 10th March that a man was destroying goods at a DNS store on Krasnoarmeyskaya Street.

Officers arrived on the scene and managed to detain the suspect who admitted his involvement in the incident, according to reports.

Meanwhile, the store is currently calculating how much damage the man caused.

The police said they are still trying to establish the circumstances behind the man’s actions and the investigation is ongoing.
