Moment Brazil Cop Dog Sniffs Out Drugs In Cemetery Grave

This is the moment a Brazilian police sniffer dog finds a stash of drugs hidden in a cemetery grave.

The discovery was made at Sobradinho Cemetery in the administrative region of the same name in Brazil’s west-central Federal District on the morning of 13th November.

The police suspected there may have been drugs hidden in some graves and enlisted the help of the local dog unit.

The drugs were found when the police were carrying out a routine patrol in the cemetery.

Officers found a black bag in one of the tombs which contained a large brick of cannabis.

The police suspected that the package was intended to be sold on the black market and took it to the local police station.

The police believe the suspects may have chosen the graveyard as their hiding place as it is generally quiet and inconspicuous.

It is not currently known if the searches in the adjacent graves have led to any further findings.

Drug trafficking makes up a large and increasing proportion of crime in Brazil. Around 27 percent of incarcerations in the country are for drug trafficking.

Cannabis is the most commonly produced and trafficked drug in Brazil.
