This is the moment a Rottweiler pounces on a pedestrian and rips into the man’s arm as its owner repeatedly punches it on the snout apparently to make it stop.
The distressing incident happened inside the Hongyue Residential District in Fuzhou, capital of Fujian Province in East China, on the afternoon of 2nd December.
Footage of the attack shows resident Mr Sun walking by himself when the Rottweiler pup, which is just over a year old, runs up to him and bites him on the arm.
As he struggles to fight off the dog, its owner, who is in his 60s, appears and pulls the animal away, but Mr Sun is attacked a second and then a third time.
As the pooch throws Mr Sun to the ground and refuses to let go of his arm, the Rottweiler’s own can be seen punching it on the snout before finally getting it to release the injured pedestrian.
The dog owner said he sent his pet away after the incident, which he said happened after tradesmen working in his garden forgot to close his gate.
The pooch ran towards Mr Sun and bit him “while playing”, the owner claimed.
Mr Sun’s injuries are being treated and he has accepted an apology from the Rottweiler owner.
However, he is demanding 50,000 RMB (5,450 GBP) in damages from the owner, who he claims has only offered 8,000 RMB (870 GBP) to cover his medical bills.
Mr Sun’s family said they had taken the matter to local police.
