Man Utd Target Robbed Of 100,000 GBP While Playing Match

Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic has had 100,000 EUR of jewellery and 5,000 EUR cash robbed after burglars broke into his house while he scored against Juventus.

The incident occurred at the midfielder’s house in Rome on Saturday 7th December during Lazio’s 3-1 home victory over current Serie A champions Juventus.

Local media report Milinkovic-Savic contacted local authorities shortly after arriving home upon seeing his house had been rummaged through and several valuables were missing.

According to a police report, several Rolex watches were stolen along with jewellery which amounted to 100,000 EUR (84,245 GBP) in valuables. There was also a reported 5,000 EUR (4,212 GBP) in cash missing.

Local police have reportedly determined there were three burglars from video-surveillance footage captured in the house.

Local media report the three thieves are also suspected of being involved in several robberies that have occurred in houses around the Italian capital in the last months.

Police are conducting an investigation to find the assailants but no arrests have been reported.

Lazio won the match 3-1 against Juventus after Milinkovic-Savic scored Lazio’s second to take the lead. Former Manchester City striker Felipe Caicedo, 31, secured their victory by scoring the third goal in injury time.

Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo scored the only goal for Juventus. The match marked the first loss for Juventus in Serie A this season.
