This is the shocking moment a man rides with a 440-lb python wrapped around his waist on his way to drop it off with wildlife experts after he found it in his rubber plantation.
The bizarre footage was taken in a village located in Kuala Krai District in the Malaysian state of Kelantan on 29th May.
The video shows the man, who was not named but is reported to be aged 34, riding with the massive reticulated python (Malayopython reticulatus) wrapped around his waist which local sources said weighed a whopping 200 kilogrammes (440 lbs).
The person sitting in the back of the motorcycle salutes the camera and lightly slaps the snake as the filmmaker laughs at the strange scene.
The man driving the bike also turns to the person filming before playfully slapping the snake and raising both arms, apparently joking shortly before the video ends.
Local sources said the 34-year-old man was working at his rubber plantation when he found the huge python and decided to capture it to ensure the safety of people that live or work in the area.
Department of Wildlife and National Parks (PERHILITAN) Director-General Datuk Abdul Kadir Abu Hashim told local media that the plantation owner informed them about the python before setting off on his motorcycle to give the reptile to wildlife experts.
Datuk Abdul Kadir Abu Hashim added that the man has apologised for the footage, explaining he did not expect it to become so widely shared.
