A Turkish man who lived with his wife and lover has been stabbed to death with a bread knife after the two women became embroiled in a row over whose turn it was to have sex with him.

Onder Celik, 43, was allegedly stabbed in his home by his lover in the district of Pursaklar in the Turkish province of Ankara where he lived with his wife Seher Celik, 34, the mother of his two children, and his girlfriend Gulyesim Kavustuk, 40, on 16th December 2020.

Onder was taken to hospital following the incident, but doctors were unable to save his life and he died shortly after arriving.

Kavustuk was taken into custody following the incident and after completing their investigation, the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office is calling for life imprisonment for Kavustuk.

Kavustuk said in her statement, which was included in the indictment, that she had been in a relationship with Onder for around 12 years.

She added: “When Onder’s wife, Seher, learned about our relationship, she told my husband. I had to divorce him. That’s when the three of us started living together.”

She went on: “On the night of the incident, after taking drugs, I told Onder that I wanted to have sex. He said he would, but only after he had sex with his wife.”

At this point she claims that she became extremely angry and went into the kitchen to grab a breadknife and then waited for the victim in the living room.

She said: “When he walked into the room, I took out the knife to scare him. I then walked back into the kitchen at which point I noticed blood on the knife.

“I don’t remember what happened, I was under the influence of drugs. The last thing I remember is seeing Onder lying on the ground.”

Seher, Onder’s wife of 19 years, explained that she agreed to live with Kavustuk because she loved her husband very much and she affirmed that Kavustuk killed her husband following an argument about who he would sleep with first.

The indictment included a report from the Forensic Medicine Institute that concluded that Onder died from a stab wound to the chest.

The suspect’s case has now moved from the Prosecutor’s Office to the Ankara 1st Heavy Penal Court which will start the trial in the coming days.
