Man Shoots Young Mother In The Head After She Breaks Up With Him

A man has been arrested for shooting a young mother in the head after she tried to break up with him.

The incident took place in Caraguatatuba, which is a coastal city in the south-eastern Brazilian state of Sao Paulo, and the suspect was arrested at around 3.30pm on Tuesday, 14th December.

Police reportedly seized the gun used to commit the fatal shooting of Aline Alves Hebling, 32, in a guesthouse, and they say the owner of the premises helped to conceal the murder weapon.

Cops have arrested the guesthouse owner and revealed that the couple’s son, a four-month-old baby, was found with his grandparents after the suspect, 38, took him there after the murder.

The suspect has reportedly claimed that he was under the influence of drugs when he committed the crime.

The crime took place at around 1am, with the police saying that the owner of the guesthouse claims that he heard gunshot noises coming from the room where the family was staying. When he went there to investigate, he saw the suspect leaving with the baby.

The innkeeper found the victim dead in the room with a gunshot wound to the head. The police said that he helped to hide the revolver that was used to commit the crime. They added that a shotgun and ammunition were also retrieved at the scene, but the suspect has denied that they are his.

The police have opened a case against the gunman for aggravated murder, while the innkeeper will be tried for manipulating the crime scene and ‘deriving personal benefit’. The men’s names were not mentioned in local reports.

The investigation is ongoing.
