This is the moment a bloodied man writhes in agony on the floor of a tube driver’s cab after he reportedly jumped in front of the train and flew through the window.

The incident was filmed at the Kuznetsky Most metro station in the western Russian capital Moscow at around 1.10pm and later shared on social media where it has been viewed nearly 50,000 times.

A Moscow Metro spokesperson said: “On duty police officers on the platform called for medical assistance and dealt with the injured man.”

According to local media, the unnamed victim jumped in front of an oncoming tube and flew through the window, ending up in agony on the cab floor.

He has been hospitalised with serious injuries but failed to answer the police when asked why he jumped in front of the train, according to reports.

At the moment, the police are speaking with the man’s family while he remains under psychiatric evaluation.

A police spokesperson said: “The incident is under investigation. At the moment, he has not shown any signs of mental illness and family members did not notice anything unusual about his behaviour leading up to the incident.

“The man’s friends also said that they were unaware of any issues, although it is possible he was hiding something from loved ones.”

The investigation is ongoing.
