This is the hilarious moment a man plays a game of badminton using the wooden end of a broom after opting to ditch the racquet, leaving thousands of social media users awe-struck.

Phone footage first shows a man and a woman playing traditional badminton.

All of a sudden, another man entered the court and interrupted the game by giving the floor a little sweep.

He then asked the woman to step aside briefly and joined the game in her stead.

To everyone’s surprise, he decided to play without a racquet and instead challenged his opponent by skilfully hitting the shuttlecock with the broom.

Incredibly, he even managed to score a point at the end of the clip.

The video, shared on Instagram by @badmintonplayer_jatin on 24th February, has sparked amusement among thousands of users.

One user titled ‘erathatholkappiyan’ commented: “Nxt Generation Badminton Racket…”

User ‘___uday_hardhawk’ wrote: “I have already introduced Handminton to my schoolmates and junior and seniors even the teachers everyone is enjoying it during classes and break.”

And ‘uff_pranshu’ simply added: “Legends.”
