A young man has been arrested for cheekily growing cannabis plants on his grandparents’ graves – which resulted in police raiding his home and finding even more incriminating evidence of drug dealing.

The police said they received a tip-off about the cannabis plants from a member of the public in the village of Yukari Yenice in the district of Dazkiri in the Turkish province of Afyonkarahisar on 12th July.

The police arrived at the local cemetery and sure enough found 26 cannabis plants rooted in the graves of Abdulkarim and Fadime Arikan.
