This is the moment an allegedly feared Russian mobster is busted by a SWAT team and he reportedly asks them to go easy on him because he has a bad back.
Oleg Shishkanov, also known as Oleg Medvedev or his nickname of Shishkan, is identified as one of the leading criminals in Russia, according to local media.
He has reportedly been one of the leaders of an organised criminal community of Russia since 2010.
The alleged Mafia godfather, Shishkanov, is suspected of numerous serious crimes including the murder of Tatyana Sidorova, deputy head of the legislative assembly of the Ramensky municipal region, located just outside the capital city of Moscow.
Russian media report that for a while Sidorova and Shishkanov were business partners and with his help she purchased a state farm Ramenskoye, but that the pair later fell out over the project.
Sidorova, as well as her husband, son and sister were allegedly murdered by Shishkov’s gang, although their bodies were never found.
The video that was released by the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs shows a joint group of SWAT officers from the Main Directorate of Criminal Investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia and the FSB getting into Shishkanov’s flat, and arresting him in his bedroom.
Russian media report that the crook demanded to be treated “more gently” as his arms were pulled on the back, as he is suffering from a bad back.
As well as the main suspected Mafia boss, Russian police managed to arrest his eight accomplices.
Svetlana Petrenko, official representative of the Investigative Committee, reported that the detainees were part of a criminal community led by mafia boss Shishkanov.
She said: “The Main Directorate for the Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Investigative Committee, as part of the criminal investigation of the criminal community Shishkanov, detained eight of his accomplices, including Eduard Kharkov, Yuri Grigoryev, Dmitry Gusev, Dmitry Baryshnikov, Yuri Ofitserov, Dmitry Khlamkin, Loretis Vitkauskas, Mikhail Korovin. ”
