A lucky lotto player has told how he’ scooped two huge six-figure sum wins in just 30 months.
Raymond Harrington – from the city of Norfolk city, in the US state of Virginia – says he has won nearly GBP 350,000 (USD 428,140) in total.
His latest breathtaking win – worth GBP 244,179 (USD 300,000) – came from a Diamond Bonus Crossword scratch-off ticket he had bought at the Rite Aid at 525 West 21st Street last month (February).
The cash joins a GBP 101,731 (USD 125,000) win that came from a draw in a different Virginia Lottery game he won in July 2020.
Raymond said in a statement obtained by Newsflash from Virginia Lottery: “The scratchers were calling out to me.
“I scratched it, and I thought I’d won maybe USD 200 [GBP 162] or so.”
He told lottery officials he intends to invest his latest winnings, when he collected his prize on 24th February.
Virginia Lottery said: “Diamond Bonus Crossword (game #2215) is an exciting scratcher from the Virginia Lottery, featuring prizes ranging from USD 10 [GBP 8.14] to USD 300,000 [GBP 244,179].
