LAST ORDERS: Pair On Electric Scooter Plough Into Waitress Carrying Food In Gran Canaria

This is the moment two people on an electric scooter plough into an unsuspecting waitress carrying food to customers at a Gran Canarian restaurant.

The incident was filmed in the municipality of Santa Lucia de Tirajana in Gran Canaria in the Spanish Canary Islands last week.

According to reports, two people riding an electric scooter sped along a pedestrian area and ploughed into a waitress as she was carrying food to diners.

A woman and her son, reportedly a minor, were riding the scooter at the time of the accident, with the young man and the waitress both suffering minor injuries.

In the footage, the waitress is seen walking to a client’s table while carrying plates of food just as the female rider enters the frame with her son on the scooter.

The pair crashes into the waitress and knocks her to the ground off-screen as the food goes flying. The mother then helps her son with an apparent facial injury.

The scooter rider broke several laws, including riding with a passenger, riding at high speed on the pavement, speeding through a restaurant terrace, and not wearing protective headwear, according to local media.

The police have confirmed that they are investigating the incident and the woman faces multiple fines for her actions.

New traffic laws concerning electric scooters and mobility vehicles came into effect in Gran Canaria last month to prevent riders using them in parks or on footpaths.
