A beautiful Russian woman, whose husband stabbed her almost to death in front of her daughter, has taken to social media to show off the horrific injuries as she campaigns for him to be jailed.

Make-up artist Irina Vedenyapina, 27, who leaves in Almaty which is the capital of Kazakhstan, said that her husband and she had quickly become estranged when she discovered he was cheating on her.

Irina added that during the recent period, she and her husband who was not named had slept in separate beds, and she had shared her bed with their little daughter.

She said on the fateful night of the attack, she had woken up with his hand over her mouth and realised he was stabbing her. She told local media that she had struggled and fallen onto the floor with him and all the time he continue to stab her.

She told local media: “My daughters and I slept in the same room, on the same bed, my husband slept in the hall.

“I woke up because my husband wanted to stab me. I was trying to scream and I tried to remove his hand from my mouth, and we fell to the floor. I was trying to grab something to hit him to fight him off but he just didn’t let me move, and continued to hold my mouth tightly as he stabbed me with a knife.

“My strength was running out, I could hardly breathe anymore and I felt myself choking on blood which made it even worse. I think at that point I was about to die – then I had my five year old daughter shouting at him to stop. At that moment I realized that even if I die, I must do everything so that he doesn’t touch her.”

She said incredibly as she lay fighting for her life, her own mother who she described as a religious fanatic who regarded the man as always right had contacted her husband and offered to pay for a lawyer to help him escape jail.

Even worse, while her own daughter was fighting for her life in hospital, she had been telling the five-year-old daughter why the mum was to blame for what had happened.

She said that charges of attempted murder had been shelved in favour of assault charges and she was terrified that after a short stay in prison, he would be out and finish off the job that he had started.

She took to social media to share her injuries to put pressure on prosecutors to trial him properly and even provided an audio recording in which it was clear he had intended to kill her.

In the recording, he complained about the stress he had been under in losing his job and worrying about the future of his child and blamed that on the attack.

She said that she had been the breadwinner and all her husband had done was play computer games, and spend their money on his mistress and himself and shout at her when she disturbed him.

Speaking about a decision to go public Irina said: “Every , go to bed and wake up terrified that he might open the door again and try and finish off what he started. All I want is for him to never be able to approach me or my daughter again.”
