Kid With Knife At School Who Wanted To Kill Pupils And Teachers Was Inspired By ‘Chucky’

A little boy who brought a large knife to school because he allegedly wanted to kill the teachers and other children said he was inspired by the Child’s Play horror movies featuring Chucky the killer doll.

A representative of Cherryvale Elementary School informed the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office that a kindergarten pupil, unnamed but who is seven years old, was caught with a knife on school grounds, in the city of Sumter, in the US state of South Carolina, on Thursday, 23rd February.

The young boy had brought the knife from home in his backpack and allegedly used it to threaten his classmates and teacher.

The police said that they had recovered the large, stainless steel kitchen knife measuring just over 12 inches long, with a seven-inch blade. Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident.

The student has been charged with a weapons law violation for carrying a weapon on school property.

Sumter County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement obtained by Newsflash on 23rd February: “When asked why he brought the knife to school, the student stated that he wanted to kill the teachers and then the students by stabbing them in the heart.

“The seven-year-old said he knew how to do this from watching the movie, “Chucky.”

“The knife has been entered into evidence at the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

“The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office is working with school officials as this investigation continues.”
