Tragic Rodina Osama was a top student at the private school she attended in the city of Giza, Egypt, local media reported.

But her female classmates are said to have bullied her remorselessly over her appearance, frequently calling her “ugly”.

Rodina is said to have been left traumatised one day when her tormentors came to harass her and vandalise her desk.

That evening – local media reported on 25th February – she collapsed after suffering a heart attack apparently brought on by the distress of the abuse.

She was rushed to hospital but died on the way.

Local media reported that Rodina had often complained to her teachers about the bullying, but she was not taken seriously.

The abuse was so bad, reports said, that the teen wanted to transfer to another school for the next academic year.

Tragically, pretty Rodina is said to have asked her sister shortly before collapsing: “Do I really look like a monster?”

Her devastated family believes her classmates bullied her because they were jealous of her high-scoring marks.

Following the bullying allegations, Egypt’s Ministry of Education and Technical Education announced it had opened an inquiry into Rodina’s death.

The Public Prosecutor’s Office is also said to be investigating the incident.

Rodina’s family and friends have demanded that the bullies who made her life a misery be punished.
