French cops posted this picture online and have humorously offered to help cannabis growers to uproot, evacuate and destroy their “green waste”.

The tongue-in-cheek initiative was taken by the Gendarmerie du Lot, a department in the Midi-Pyrenees region of southern France.

They said on Facebook: “As autumn begins, the Lot gendarmes remain at your disposal to help you evacuate your green waste”.

On their Facebook page, they published a photo of a gendarmerie vehicle with a boot full to the brim with cannabis plants, with the following caption: “Don’t hesitate to contact us, we’ll take care of the rest, including uprooting and destroying. For large quantities, we can also accommodate you for up to 96 hours on our premises.”

According to French newspaper 20 Minutes, over the last few days, the gendarmes of the Occitanie region have carried out several raids to bust cannabis growers in private homes.

Cops in the Ariege department, in the Occitanie region, discovered last week at a market gardener’s in the Arize valley no less than 50 plants in the middle of vegetables and 40 grams of dried cannabis ready for consumption. The merchandise was destroyed and the quinquagenarian will be tried at the beginning of December.
