A Russian mum is accused of murdering her own nine-month-old baby son after flying into a jealous rage when she spotted her partner giving another woman from the same village a lift home.

Mum Albina Ramazanova, 20, allegedly stabbed her infant son to death in a jealous rage after her partner Oleg Taskin, 24, offered a lift to the female neighbour to her home in the village of Klevakinskoye in Kamensky District in the Russian region of Sverdlovsk Oblast on 2nd February.

According to cops, the jealous young mum stabbed her son with a kitchen knife while her partner was away, and the body was recovered with wounds to the head and chest.

The alleged murder was discovered when the woman ran to a neighbour for help. When the neighbour called the police, the young mother allegedly tried to kill herself, but was saved by paramedics who arrived on the scene.

Valery Gorelykh, from the Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee for Sverdlovsk Oblast, said: “The boy’s mother, probably realising what she had done with her own hands, caused serious injuries to herself and landed herself in hospital, where doctors provided her with the necessary medical care.”

After being released from hospital, she was arrested and is currently undergoing a psychological test to assess whether she can be held responsible for the crime.

The father of the child, who works as a cattleman on a local farm and who had been together with the woman since 2018, returned later that evening and discovered what had happened.

He has not commented, but his mother Tatyana Taskina has demanded the maximum penalty over the death.

She said: “I don’t understand how she could have done that. She smothered him with a pillow and then she stabbed him. Apparently there was almost nowhere left on his head and stomach without a stab wound.”
