The trial of the alleged teenage killers of this pretty Instagram blogger who was shot dead last year has got underway.
Irene P., 20, was killed by four gunshots in the town of Zell am See, located in the Salzburg region of Austria in October 2018 as she was trying to return to normality after reportedly falling into the drug scene.
She was just about to start a new life and was looking for a job when the incident occurred, according to reports.
Two men were arrested and charged over her murder and could face up to 15-years if found guilty.
The woman had been called as a witness in a cannabis case and this was allegedly the motive behind her killing.
One of her alleged killers, an unnamed 18-year-old, told the court: “I was so angry with her after she wrongly accused me.”
He added: “I just did not think, I just pulled the trigger.”
The second suspect, a 19-year-old, is accused by the prosecution of being the driver of the car that fled and he allegedly supplied the weapon before forcing the younger man to shoot the woman.
But the defence said: “There was never a plan to kill.”
The pair are also accused of having planned an attack on a second victim, a car salesman, who they had allegedly already dug a grave for in order to steal his Mercedes Benz.
The trial continues but the court psychologists who prepared the expert witness statements claim the two men are very dangerous.
The parents of the victim are demanding compensation of 76,000 EUR (65,000 GBP).
The case continues.
