HOW I SHED KILOS TO BECOME A GLOBAL FITNESS PHENOMENON: I Dumped My Husband

A stunning fitness trainer has told how she sculpted her amazing new body after dumping scores of excess kilos – in the shape of her deadbeat husband.

Superfit Alena Ershova, 29, from Lake Baikal in Siberia, northern Russia, was banned from doing sports because her husband thought exercise was unfeminine.

So she left him behind and with years of hard work transformed herself into one of Russia’s most in-demand personal trainers.

Alena explained: “He was just unsupportive and forbade me from doing sports.

“But it wasn’t just in sports, also was against getting a higher education, working, blogging and the rest.

“It’s just that type of man.”

And after moving on, Alena dedicated herself to hundreds of hard hours forging the body she wanted in the gym.

Alena told Newsflash in an exclusive interview: “I have always disliked my figure.

“Genetically I have rectangular proportions, that is, without a pronounced waist and buttocks.

“Plus in 11th grade, in preparation for exams, stress and a sedentary lifestyle, I gained 20 kilogrammes [44 lbs].

“I always wanted femininity, juiciness and hourglass proportions, so the gym appeared in my life, which consequently led me to bodybuilding, and this is the science of bodybuilding.

“It’s where we build proportions like sculptors.”

Her transformation led to success at bodybuilding competitions and a new life as a fitness trainer.

Alena explained: “I originally came to the competition to show the result of my work and to finally get rid of the complexes that originated in my marriage and adolescence.

“I am not going to connect my life with competitions, despite the fact that my whole conscious life is built around sport and I can’t say that I want to achieve any heights in it.

“I’m just interested in it for now.”

Mum Alena says her routines are not an obsession and she can adapt her regime to the demands of ordinary life.

She said: “After childbirth, I could not train more than two times a week.

“Now I train three times a week and during the competition period, I train six times a week.

“The important thing is not the frequency of training, but its stability.

“Even if you have fallen out of the regime, you just need to get back into it.”

But her “monstrous” training sessions can daunt even the male bodybuilders in her gym.

Alena said: “There are only three men in my gym who can lift more weights and bulkier loads.

“But a lot of my training is due to my height. It’s harder for tall girls to gain muscle but I already a lot of experience under my belt.

“It is realistic for a beginner with my knowledge to gain such a shape in two to three years, with the least effort.”

To reach her goals Alena says she has given up eating pork, sweets, fast food, butter, and rich sauces

But she said: “That’s not to say that I go on holiday with friends and don’t eat the same kebab, for example,

” I don’t limit myself, but it happens a couple of times a year.

“Mostly I eat clean and primarily because of digestive comfort.

“My food receptors have become so cleaned up that a lot of things just don’t taste good to me.

“Now I am raising my son and we have a few rules.

“One of them is that I don’t forbid my child from eating sweets, but we don’t bring any of them into the house. There are always nuts, fruits and dried fruits for him at home.”

And she said: “I’ve grown to like myself in all sorts of ways, and I’ve become softer towards myself. I always say that I am my own biggest critic.”

Now Alena has a new life as an in-demand global trainer passing on her fitness and lifestyle lessons to others.

She explained: “Now I work online, recording training videos for clients based on their requests.

“They come to me for help from different cities of Russia and from abroad.

“Most often, these are women after childbirth, some kind of surgery or injury, or those who want an ideal body shape for life.

“And it’s really fulfilling when after classes they write to me that the wrinkles on their face have gone away or they send photos of them looking great in new dresses that fit their figure.

“I really like it when women open up.”

And now Alena is even thinking of building a new private life for herself.

She said: “In the near future I would like to get married and have a second child.

“Sport will also remain in my life, I will just build a new version of myself.”
