This hilarious footage shot over one day shows the slow destruction of a plastic roadblock on a Russian road as drivers repeatedly hit it.

The CCTV footage was taken in the Dzerzhinsky district of the city of Volgograd in the Volgograd Oblast in southwestern Russia after construction workers erected the roadblock to protect drivers from a damaged manhole cover.

In the clip, the workers can be seen putting up the roadblock over the manhole cover complete with a warning sign.

The wind then knocks over the plastic and they work to put it up again more securely.

However, a turning lorry then knocks it sideways and cars begin passing either side of it before one driver gets out and puts the warning side back up but with the roadblock itself lengthways.

The workers then return to erect the roadblock properly for the third time but over the course of the evening the plastic is repeatedly hit by cars and knocked out of place.

Workers and drivers repeatedly return again to place the beaten plastic over the manhole only for it to be knocked away again and the clip ends with a worker placing the almost destroyed roadblock over the hole for a final time.

Netizens loved the clip, such as ‘Dmitry Ivanov’ who said: “They needed to put a concrete block there from the very beginning.”

Another netizen named ‘Dmitry Kim’ said: “How do these blind people get their driver’s licenses?!”

‘Vladislav Tsevashev’ said: “Each person who hit that roadblock is supposed to be fined for ‘leaving the scene of an accident’. These guys risk losing their driver’s licences.”

Local media report no injuries occurred during the incident.
