This is the moment a suspected is pinned to the ground by locals and slapped and kicked repeatedly after reportedly fleeing from cops.

Reports said the man, identified as Angel Gutierrez aka ‘Bandeno’, was with an accomplice called Fabian Villalba when they broke into a car and stole a bag in the area of Polo Norte in the city of Anatuya in the northern Argentine province of Santiago del Estero.

According to local media, Villalba pointed his gun at officers who arrived on the scene while Gutierrez managed to get away.

Villalba was reportedly subdued and arrested by the police while Gutierrez was eventually caught by have-a-go residents.

The footage shows the alleged robber lying on the ground while a young man sits on top of him, dishing out kidney punches.

Another man is seen standing over him and slapping the back of his head.

A heavyset woman wanders over and kicks the suspect before bending down to repeatedly hit the back of Gutierrez’s head.

Some residents are heard asking him: “Where is the other thief?”

Both Villalba and Gutierrez were eventually arrested for robbery and are both under investigation, according to local media.
