Girl Gang Trafficked 15 Kilos Of Cocaine In Pink Suitcases To Fund Champagne Lifestyle

A girl gang of middle-class drug traffickers caught with GBP 500,000 of cocaine and ketamine hidden in pink suitcases have been seized by airport police.

The four girls were arrested by customs officers in Israel, as they collected their luggage from two separate flights from the German capital, Berlin.

Israeli police later confirmed that the girls had been under observation during their trip to Germany.

They are accused of repeated trafficking runs into Israel from Berlin, Budapest and Bangkok between September 2022 and January 2023.

Police believe they trafficked around 15 kilos of cocaine before they were caught.

Prosecutors say they were working for a drug lord inside Israel, who has not yet been found.

The four were paid USD 8,800 (GBP 7,180) for each trip as well as an additional USD 880 (GBP 718) to cover travel expenses.

Investigators say they spent the cash on a VIP luxury lifestyle of five-star hotels, shopping trips and trendy nightclubs.

Social media images show the girls dressed in designer gear dripping with expensive jewellery.

Others show they sipping champagne on planes and holding lavish beach parties.

Police named the four as Arbel Mizrahi, 24, of Tel Aviv, Idan Tsauber, 24, of Kfar Saba, Orel Ben Haim, 24 of Kfar Saba, and Lee Poni, 22, of Kiryat Gat.

Customs officers found the drugs hidden inside a Sony Playstation console and bottles and jars of cosmetics.

At first, the four had tried to pretend they had no idea that the drugs were stashed in their luggage.

But one of the gang – Tsauber – confessed to police: ” “I come from a good home, I don’t want for anything.

“If I’d known what it was, I wouldn’t agree to do it for any money. Of course I knew I was transferring something, but I thought the Sony PlayStation was stolen and it was all stolen goods, not drugs.

“It was only when the police opened the Sony in front of me using screwdrivers and told me there was cocaine in there that I realised.”

When police looked at the girls’ WhatsApp chats they found they switched between opening and discussing the trafficking and using the codename ‘horse’.

One investigator told local media: “They consciously went after the easy and big money that would allow them a standard of living that does not match their financial capacity.”

They also reportedly used the drugs that they were smuggling.

Superintendent Ezra Goldstein, who is the head of the Investigations and Intelligence Division, said: “Innocent women they are not.”

All four have been remanded in custody as the investigation continues.
