This Georgian mafioso claims he was one of the men who raided Barcelona star Gerard Pique and Shakira’s mansion.

In a recent interview with the Spanish television show Aruseros televised on La Sexta, an anonymous man reported as ‘Yuri’ who claims to be an important figure in the Georgian mafia, said he raided Pique’s and Colombian pop singer Shakira’s mansion in Esplugues de Llobregat near the city of Barcelona.

He said: “That Shakira and Pique thing was us, we do not know anything about the other hits on the Barcelona players.”

The Spanish footballer’s mansion was raided in June of last year while his parents were inside the house and Pique along with Shakira were in Germany at the time.

Fortunately, no violence was reported, however, according to Yuri some gangs are not opposed to violence.

He said: “We do not want to hurt anyone, if there are people, we leave immediately. The Romanians go for anything and the Kosovans are very violent, they can get to the point of killing someone”

When asked about the reason why he and his friends carry out the raids, Yuri said: “We send our families half of the money and the other half goes to the ‘Kurdis’, the heads of our mafia, if we do not do it, we will be punished with death.”

A presenter of Aruseros who participated in the interview said Yuri is “probably not even in Spain anymore so he knew he could say these things when he dropped the bomb”.
