Garbage Man’s Amazing Escape After Out-Of-Control Audi Rear Ends His Truck

A worker had to be hospitalised after an Audi struck him while he and another colleague collected garbage by the roadside.

CCTV cameras captured the incident, which reportedly occurred near the town of Milicz, in west-central Poland, just after 8 a.m. on 18th October.

In the video, two men are emptying waste containers into a garbage truck parked by the road.

Suddenly, a black Audi comes in at speed and collides with the truck after its driver seemingly did not notice the men at work.

One of the workers managed to evade the speeding sedan, but the other was hit a glancing blow as he tried to jump to the right to avoid the car.

He then fell to the ground as emergency services were dispatched to the scene, including the fire department, ambulance, police, and road service.

The bin man hit by the car and the 19-year-old driver of the Audi were taken to hospital.

Fortunately, their injuries are not life-threatening.

The Volunteer Fire Department from Cieszkow shared photos of the incident on social media, showing that a passenger car crashed into the rear of a garbage truck parked on the roadside.

The fire department said: “The operation lasted about six hours, and during the proceedings, the national road was blocked.

“Firefighters designated a detour through nearby villages.”

Police said the driver of the Audi had seen the obstruction too late and was attempting to drive around it too late when he collided with its rear.

Sub-Inspector Sławomir Walenski, spokesperson for the Milicz Police, said: “We suspended the driver’s license of the passenger car.”

The Milicz Police said they are further investigating the incident.
